SIM CARDS :
Free Sim card for any smartphone are available at Bluesky & $5.00 at ASTCA and can be installed there. "Pay-as-you-go" options are also available at both Bluesky and ASTCA for purchase.

Bluesky and ASTCA Apps are also available for download to purchase data and minutes.

INTERNET :
Internet is slower than the mainland but local telecommunication authorities offer easy options for portable internet methods like
"Mi-Fi" available for purchase at Bluesky & ASTCA.

CURRENCY :
We currently have 1 bank, TBAS - Territorial Bank of American Samoa with ATM's all over the island for money withdraw. Bank withdraw fee for non-TBAS debit/credit cards is normally $6.00+
Debit/Credit card machines available in most stores, restaurants, etc.

SUN & HEAT :
Weather in AS can be cool and breezy one day , rainy and muddy another, and then humid and scourging the next. Be sure to always have the following packed for a beautiful tropical island experience.
- Sunscreen (preferably any SPF more than 25)
- Caps & Sunglasses
- Umbrella & Rain coat
- Extra change of clothes in bag or car
- Water bottle

Local Aloe Plant are also known to help greatly with sunburn or any wounds.

MEDICATION / WATER & FOOD SAFETY :
Living and visiting a tropical island does come with accepting some of its unpleasant features.
Pest such as mosquito and cockroaches are widely spread around AS. Make sure to bring the following in case there is a shortage on island :

-Tylenol (kids and adults)
-Mosquito repellent
-Allergy Medication
-Inhaler (Asthma)

Drinking from the tap is not recommended in AS.
